We love East Hollywood High!

One of Davids teachers posted this on YouTube, there is a moment of David in 9th grade talking about his Charter School about 1 minute 30 seconds in. It amazing how much he has changed in 3 years.

Mitchell Family 2009

It's the 4th day of Christmas, and here is our promised video! We tried to get the kids together to sing a carol to post, but teenagers are uncooperative and hard to pin down. So instead we gathered a few pictures from 2009 into a video. Hope your Holidays are Warm and Bright!

Halloween

George and Jack on Halloween. They went trick-or-treating with cousin Ryen on a beautiful Fall afternoon. George tipped over a couple times because his Elmo head was a little top heavy and Jack just got to enjoy the ride in the stroller, no candy for him this year, but next year.....watch out!

Aww..

George is such a good helper, he gets diapers for mom and throws dirty ones in the garbage. When Jack crys he comforts him and says "No cry baby, no cry" in the cutest singsong voice. He loves kissing Jacks head and was the first to make him smile.

My Garden

I think this is the first year I didnt kill off almost everything. The wet spring had a lot to do with it and the fact that we didnt take any long trips helped.

This is the unexpected garden that grew out of our compost. If anyone knows what it is, clue us in.

George's 2nd Birthday Party

We celebrated with Ryen again, cupcakes, waterguns, football, swings and a day at the beach, what more could a two year old want? It was a lot of fun, thanks to Andrea who did all the planning and invitations, as I was in no shape to help.

Kate very pregnant with Jack

Checking out Georges favorite animals this week...the ducks down in the canal by our house.

Since this is the last time Im planning on being pregnant I wanted to post these pictures to remind myself that I was miserable 80% of the time in the last month. Actually, this was probably the easiest pregnancy I ever had. No typical pregnancy symptoms, no nausea, no heartburn, no swelling, no mood swings. I have a feeling Jack is going to be a very mellow kid.

Yea! It's a BOY!!

We're so happy he's made it! Safe and sound...

Jonathan (Jack) Lee Mitchell

10 pounds 7 ounces and 24 inches long!

He had a rough start coming into the world after 25 hours of labor and being in distress before being taken by c-section. He was whisked off to the nursery for having trouble breathing. But all the trauma was short lived. Mom was holding him within 2 hours and has never let him go since. Big brothers and sister are all so in love. He is such a good natured baby and already sleeping through the night with the exception of one feeding, then right back to sleep. Mom and Dad are so grateful.
